Wheel thrown porcelain vase by Galaxy Clay Art.
Wheel thrown porcelain unique vase using water etching and slip trailing decoration techniques. I start with unfired bone-dry ware. Paint design using shellac and wipe it off gently with a wet sponge. This is a great technique to add depth and visual interest to a surface while keeping a very clean and simple finish. I hand painted with Mother of Pearl lustre and fired a third time to 1159 to create bright metal shiny iridescent on dandelion.
